So Wolfgangus was very ambitious and wanted to attain a very high position in the world of music, he knew that staying in Salzburg it was never possible to achieve what he wanted; in 1777 Mozart left Salzburg with his mother and set for Munich and Mannheim. There he tried his best to find a good post for himself but was never offered one, he then moved to Paris in search of the same. In Paris, Anna Maria (Wolfgangus's mother) died and Wolfgangus became very lonely, here also Wolfgangus could not get any suitable post for himself. After Wolfgangus's all the unsuccessful trials, Leopold called him back to Salzburg, where he managed to arrange a high level post for his son. For next two years, Wolfgangus, worked at Court and played concerts at Courts and Cathedrals. He actively participated in concerts, serenades and also composed music for dramas. He also continued composing and creating symphonies. In 1780 he received the most awaited opportunity to perform in an opera at Munich. 4/28/2010

sam this is wrong. interesting, but wrong. Mozarts name was Wolfgang, not wolfgangus or wolffanfuss.

also, he wrote 41 symphonies, not "50-60".

I'm finding he wrote 23 operas, 18 Masses (although the last, Requiem Mass in D minor, K. 626 was completed by Franz Xaver Süssmayr after Mozart's death), 27 piano concertos and 7 violin concertos, and 57 symphonies and symphony movements.

Nic very vague - could have done with more detailed information - but to the point. The last paragraph is wrong though. I'm not sure of the exact amount of other works but he definitely wrote 41 symphonies. not 50 - 60.
And his full name was Johannes Chrysostemus Wolfgangus Theophilus Amadeus Mozart. Just looked up where you got Gottlieb from. apparently it is a German translation of Theophilus.
