Vince Kasper I'm at the library copmputer cuz I'm homeless and a crack-addict. If I went to college then I would be a scientist but I keep seeing a pink elephant wrestling a yellow penguin due to the herione which I love! 11/13/2009
Aaron Esala I think its important to go to college so you don't end up like me! I'm a poop sweeper for elephants at parades. I have no life, no money, no girls All i do is order porn 11/6/2009
Janeese I think the part about what college you or your child goes to does not make a difference. If you push a child to go and achieve for things they don't want then they get uninterested and start to fall off and then it leads to bad grades missing class and so on. So yes I think that part was very important. 9/13/2009

buffalo bob I think this website needs to be more organized its confusing to teens. Put more information directed to teens, instead of to parents. 3/3/2009
Olivia DiBello i agreee 100% that college is very important in order to get a good paying job because the workforce is alot different then it was 20 years ago when you could get a good paying job with just a high school diploma now you almost always need a college degree 2/1/2009

your name Also, i agree with the first half but the other half that talks about what colege you go to doesn't matter, i totally disagree. Sure, whatever college you go to, you're going to graduate in something but not all colleges offer the same benefits and programs. Therefore, the student would want to find an affordable, yet a meet-every-student's-needs-type of college. You should never settle for anything less. Lastly, degrees do count, depending on what field you plan on getting into and how good of a pay you want to earn. :P 3/26/2007

Harry Who's responsibility is it to pay for the college tuition, the parents or the child? 6/20/2005
Sean John I'd have to agree with Shawna on this on. Why should a family have to go into debt in order for their child to receive a decent education. Even with a certifcate or degree, now a days it's still hard to find a good job ; with some employers looking at your resume, and considering your over educated for the position. I'm not saying education is over valued, don't get me wrong it is important but what are we willing to pay, what are we really willing to sarcafice to get ahead in this world.
I wouldn't mind having the best of both worlds, but not at the expense of my own or families happiness......Some things in life are just to materialistic and aren't worth my efforts.

Burrell I completly agree with Palmer 3/7/2005
Palmer I believe that college will stringly benefit your life in many was. Such as higer income that amounts to financial stability, and knowing that you will be able to support your self if ever the need should occur. 3/7/2005
shawn Good article, despite being cliched. In retrospect, I am disappointed in my college experience. Popular culture overvalues the college experience. It makes me sad when families mortgage their life savings to send a kid to school. The kid doesn't need the pressure, and the family doesn't need the financial burden. Society needs to do more to allow opportunities. I'm not sold on the fact that education at a paid premium is the only answer. Maybe I'm missing something. 2/9/2005
