Andrea Please please please check your facts. Tokaj is NOT located on Lake Balaton. Rather, they are on opposite ends of the country. How can any Hungarian or wine connaisseur read any further and take this article seriously? Puttony = cloth container? Not according to my knowledge. 9/10/2006
PWhysall@aol.co I am currently into Hungarian wines and some of the Wines from the Eger Region such as the Cabernet Franc, Merlot and paptag are excellent. In addition wines produced from the new generation of Reislings are Outstanding and will probably become as popular as Chardonnay in the years to come.
Some of the vineyards in the Eger region such as
St Andrea Juhasz Vin & Eged Mountain are producing outstanding wines from a wide variety of Grapes.
