the titanic was a pure beauty and it went down with children and adults some poeple just let their kids go to sleep and then they died.it is a true and heart,warming story. the people who lived after it sunk and they were truly lucky and greatfull that they had made it home alive unlike most of the people.If the ship would have gone straite it wouldn't have sunk because it was slanted when it hit the iceburg.If it wouldn't have hit the iceburg i can imagine that once everyone got off the boat that they would have been happy to see their families. |

My husband's Great Aunt, Margaret Earnhardt was on the Carpathia
when they picked up the Titanic survisors. At that time, she was 14 yrs. old. She was put on the Carpathia at the very last minute because the ship she came to Ellis Island, N.Y., had engine problems and was not ready when she was returning to France. She
gave her story to the television stations and newspapers in 1998 when she turned 100 years old on 03-13-98.
