libertarianparty An act must first be a victimless crime in order to qualify for the status of a freedom of choice issue. A choice issue is one that only affects the person committing the act, and no other individual... Therefore making it a victimless crime. Abortion affects another human being, the child, and therefore does not qualify as a choice issue in any perspective!
After that being said, and the propaganda word play used to justify this act is taken out of the way we have the real debate or euthanasia... Is any life not worth saving, in any situation. Our Hippocratic oath makes it clear that we are to save any life possible, anytime that we can. It becomes an issue of money, is there enough money to save this unwanted life? Yes, the answer should always be yes. We are not barbarians, and do not live in a society that says barbarism is fine as long as it saves us money, or gives us that much needed convenience! As far as the population control issue, and with the UN demanding forced abortions in the smaller countries to control population, well again it is euthanasia such as was seen in Nazi Germany by their not so loving big socialist government!
Again, it is not a choice issue because it does not qualify as victimless, or only affecting the person committing the act!
