Brinda Hi!
Wanted to point out a factual inaccuracy. The statement "Singh will always be a Sikh" is not true. It can be used as a name by Hindus as well and that too from different parts of India- Rajasthan, Punjab, UP etc.
Also, most people in India use a business card that is printed only in English, so there really is no need to "have it translated on one side into Hindi"

CStern I found this very valuable. I am going to India next month. Thanks 8/18/2006
neilpayne Any article of such a length and dealing with such a complex topic is by its nature going to have generalizations. These generalizations however are not meant to offer stereotypes of India or Indians - merely offer some initial insight into doing business in India. As such all I can do is offer my apologies for the offense you feel yet defend the intention and content of the article. 12/29/2004
Katherine Brody I think it's brilliant that you can get an encyclopedia free so I can do my homework 12/15/2004
Vikas Lamba Do you know what are you writing for the world about India. First read some indian literature and than visit and live at least for six months in wastern world. Than your writing will make some sense to people. You are projecting not only your stupid theories about casts and religion of great India but damaging the heritage of south Asian countries. You certainly need to visit west and get the first hand knowledge about them. Thank you. 12/6/2004
