Thank you for this clear and concise explanation. I'm scrambling to find the proper "diet" for me, since I've decided I want to limit processed foods as much as possible. I DO NOT want to be faddish NOR be a vegan, vegeterian, or any other kind of "ian." I simply want to eat whole foods - the contents of which are transparent. That means natural foods like fruit, veggies, etc. But I also want to keep eating chicken, fish, and occasional red meat.
I found out last November that I am allergic to some extent to the following, in order from worst to not so bad for me: Pork, wheat, soybean, cow's milk, beef. (like I said, I won't eliminate beef, but I've cut back).
Given all that, can you recommend any shopping strategies, resources, books, etc for someone like me who never has any time? |

I went on a whole food diet about 6 weeks ago, and have lost 14 lbs already. That's without counting calories, carbs, grams of fat, or points. I still eat full meals, and have an occasional snack. I never feel overly hungry. Its absolutely amaziing. I feel like my body is starting to function like it was always supposed to. The processed sugars, preservatives, colors, and chemicals in my food were keeping me over weight, my cholesterol high, and driving me to snack constantly. I was addicted to all the non-whole ingredients in my food. My life has truley changed with this discovery. |

I justed wanted to add a listing for those looking for foods to do a whole food diet. There is a 13-day whole food program out there you can find by googling "wholenaturalfood" all as one word. |

Great article to sum it up pretty quickly, but still give good info. I considered it very helpful. Maybe some refrences to books on the subject? |
