This is a poem I wrote about my relationship with my mother. Or should I say non-relationship.

Friend Amber, find her. I found mine. Be ready for rejection, but your story, like mine, may turn out well. I did much of the same things you did. God gave me a great man and now we've been together almost 30 years-in spite of my many years of hang-ups because of my big mistake-bitterness over a perceived rejection. Her letting go of you was probably the worst pain she ever felt. Let go of the bitterness...Everything about your life, even the terrible stuff, has a reason for being. Seek Christ. He'll get you more than barely through. With Him, it's a win-win situation. 9/10/2006
