I just did the first part of my checker training today for SafeWay. It seems pretty similar to the one descried here, although we do 4 "days" of training (4 sessions, each for hours average) on the computer.
There were two things I though I should point out though, one little piece you missed on the Food stamp info, is that you can only give back .99 cents in coin change. The rest must be loose food stamps.
Also, the WIC rules vary from state to state, but most have a range that the check can be used (it all depends on what it's for, who it's for, and where it's from).

It's hard to even get to the Cashier Training for me. Every time I mention I have no experiance, they look at me like I'm not serious. So I end up with no call back. In your Interview what did you say, when they asked if you had experiance? |

I understand food stamps excluding alcohol. I believe the idea behind food stamps excluding prepared foods is to prevent their use at McDonalds and other fast food restaurants. The idea is to encourage healthier eating. However, the supermarket prepares baked chicken and other healthy foods. |
