Thomas T. He could die? To tell you the truth, that sounds a little to far fetched. You have to understand, that sounds kinda ridiculous for an athlete. Anyone could come up with a story like that. It is like saying my dog ate my homework. 8/7/2005
dave nicholson this article is false and misleading in regards to my brother, derek nicholson. the banned substance mentioned in the article not only can mask steroids, but is also used to treat high blood pressure. my brother suffers from this condition and this article failed to say that. if he doesn't take this medication he could die. the greek olympic committee was aware of his medication needs yet played ignorant of the matter. this banning of my brother smells like extreme nationalism on the greek's part. they didn't want non-native players on the team as evidenced by the greek coach's comments, yet if they didn't use them, they would not be competitive with other teams as they have shown. my brother was not an alternate on the team nor did he try out for this team, he was asked to be on the team. it's a shame that this happened. the greek olympic committee keep trying to blame my brother, but they are bold-faced liars. my brother has never tested positive for any substance to enhance his performance. i am saddened that any part of me is greek right now, because i will not be part of a group that advocates lies on such a ridiculous scale. what can i expect from a third-world nation? 8/17/2004
