Prashant Modern medicine has little experience of merely 100 years than ayurved which is more than thousands of year. Abiding ayurved will not harm you at least than modern medicine. Modern medicine suggest go ahead in many things which they have no tested fully. Afterwards they will say study conducted says that this should be done. But what about people who have suffered due these un-experts. The ayurved in old books is sufficient to follow. They say strictly no-no to a list of vitamin rich food in pregnancy, on the contrary modern medicine says yes to these foods based on only calorie and vitamins. They do not know side effect of food as well. There are side effects of food as well not only medicine. The readers should contact a nearby ayurvedic practioner, do not go by articles in media. 3/22/2010
