I think its a great guide for teaching me how much I should be eating. That is the biggest advantage. I do the online version only. I do grow weary of counting and weighing but it works. I think it encourages exercise because you get points for doing it! That means you get that treat you wanted today. That helps. I think its a good program if you use it to learn how to be self-reliant in the future after meeting your goal. As stated, you cant do it forever. |

I think the disadvantages are so wrong. its not a lifetime of counting calories. it will teach you eventually what you can have in a day. its a way to show you a healthy way of eating and being aware of the calorie content |

WW on-line cost only $16.95/month. There MAY be a first time registration fee of $29 but many times specials are run w/o registration fee and specials of first 3 months for $45. This is a very effective AND inexpensive on-line program. The "points" system is very useful and not confusing at all. I have lost a total of 50lbs in 8months. That was a year ago and still following to maintain. Yes, it is a life process for many and you learn to condition your eating habits. A portion of something "tastes" the same whether it is big or small, so why not satisfy your craving with a "small" portion? Weight Watchers is an Awesome program. Like anything else you must believe in yourself and go for the goal! |

I recommend this program to my friends that gain a bit of extra weight. We may be young but we can be lazy at times. All we need to do is put our mind to it and we can succeed in anything. |

I stopped reading after a point because this is just not true. The costs that you are mentioning is not true, the fact that you have to count points, is not entirely true because there are two plans; one that counts points and one that doesn't, and fyi, the reason you're taught that you can eat anything and still lose weight is because you can. This is a lifestyle program not a quick fix and most don't want to eat celery and carrots daily for the rest of their lives so this teaches you how to be accountable for the choices that you make and how the choices impact you and simply not to say no to a food that you like just because it's not a "diet" food. Weight Watchers is a lifestyle change, not a diet. |

dan with that uni brow you look that the caveman on the commerical on tv this progam is not good at all i think that you should just give it up because nobody like you and the only reason why you made this program was because you are really fat and you have no friends and so you thought that all the fat people would like cause they thought you were trying to help them lose weight and you really mad them gain weight so now they do not like you so just give on trying to make peple lose weight cause it is not working fat ass |

I have been following the WW points program FAITHFULLY for almost 2 weeks and I was amazed at the 9 lbs I lost, but the day after I lost the extra 2 pounds, I get weighed in and found out that I had GAINED the 2 lbs back.....How can this be when you follow the points ???? Confused and now Frustrated :( |

I think WW does emphasize exersize. It is made very clear that you are welcome to buy WW products at the meeting or at the store, but it certainly isn't necessary. The food choices are virtually unlimited, portion sizes alas, must be limited. There is a choice where you don't count points at all. It is the most successful long term food plan there is, bar none. |

Working for WW pays almost nothing so it is good that I shouldn't eat much. ha |

I think that weight watchers is an awsome diet plan for a college student. Im 21 now and am in my 4th yr a college, so Im not on it anymore, but when I was I was in my highschool years and let me tell you, it was a confidential diet between your family members and your weight watcher coach. I wasn't over weight at all and I was very active. But just to shed maybe 10 pounds really fastweight watchers worked. I love It!!!! |

I think that weight watchers is a very good method of weight loss. You can eat whatever you want and still lose weight. |

I think ediets is the better of the 2. i've been to ww and wasn't real happy with the commercialization of it. I also thought the women in charge of the meetings were less than happy to see a man there. |

Actually, WW doesn't push the prepackaged stuff at all. It's there if you want it, but I'm a Lifetime WW member, and I've never eaten any of their prepackaged stuff. |

It's my understanding that WW changed the name of it's Winning Points Program when it introduced a new core plan that provides a guideline to healthy choices without having to track points. In all of the meetings I've ever attended, my weight or weight loss has never been discussed in a group meeting so I wouldn't consider that to be a disadvantage. In addition, did you know that you don't have to buy any of the WW food to follow their program? I also didn't see any mention of the activity (exercise) targets that are included in your weekly plan, even on your point tracking sheet. This review could use a follow up. |

yeah but any other diet would cost twice as much.....weight watchers is probably the cheapest . as oppesed to a low carb diets in which you buy all the meat and food made with fake sugars |

I think weight watchers cost too much. The price is unreasonable if not nearly immoral. It is exploitative. Why is there not a reasonablly priced solution? |
