| Bec | Keep religion out of politics. It ruins people's lives. Homosexuality doesn't hurt anyone, it doesn't effect anyone else's lives except the people involved. Everyone else should just leave them alone. "God" is a hypocrite in saying that he created everything and everyone and loves everyone for who they are, so he hates what he has created? Though I thought that hate was agaisnt that religion? Religion should stay out of people's lives who don't want it. "God" shouldn't stand in the way of other people's happiness. And so if I wrote a 'bible' and said God inspired me to write it, everyone would believe it? Stop making people unhappy |

| Ben Wright | But remember the bible was written almost two thousand years ago by men, not God, so therefore why should anyone take the word of homophobic men? Its like taking the word of men who hate black people or hate women. Sure they can allege that "God inspired" them to write those things down, but what does inspire mean? According to Webster's dictionary inspire means to arouse or produce a thought or feeling, to prompt or cause to be written or said or by influence without acknowledgment of the real authorship, which is to say that "God" did not command nor direct them to write down anything. They took it upon themselves to allege that "God" gave them the order to write down these things when in fact it was these men that put the words forth from their own thoughts with no guidance whatsoever from "God." Therefore we can conclude that these same men made all of this stuff up not unlike authors today that make up stories and allege them to be true. But a wise reader should be able to read the bible with an open mind knowing that none of it can be replied on as the truth. There are those that allege the bible is true because of the things said in the OT had come true in the NT, but again its all the same book written about the same time by men who alleged "God" put the thoughts in their minds. Then there are those that allege the prophecies in the bible have either come true or are coming true. The same can be said for the authors of science fiction; computers you can carry in your pocket, the cell phone, TV, the automobile and the moon landing, all which had been written by men long before these events occurred. In the course of history books have been written as works of fiction whereas many events in these stories have actually came to pass, as anything we can dream up much of it will come to pass as its only logical the over all scheme of things it is natural it would. Its not so much as a coincidence as it is in the course of change. But for some one to take the word of a writer without any research or without using any logic shows desperation on the part of the reader to believe in his or her survival beyond death and his or her needs attended to if by some unseen power or unproven entity beyond themselves to explain away our existence and our universe. Its a need of every human to cling to a father or mother figure for survival. But in order to survive on one's own merits we must break away from this behavioral pattern and go it alone. Every creature does not want to die, yet once it dies it does not know it anyway as it is like an unconscious state, you do not experience it. As for survival, when one sets out entirely upon their own life experiences are one's own best teacher and when we give up the notion there is an unseen power watching over us we are then guided by logic and good judgment. | 5/13/2010 |
| dj | People should not be so quick to judge Christians on their actions or beliefs. Homosexuals may think that Christians have judged them, but by saying Christians are "the ones to blame" is just as judgmental. Christians, if in fact they live by the Bible, believe that homosexuality is like any other sin and can be forgiven. Christians are not concerned about taking away citizens rights or condemning others, but about helping those who do not know Christ by showing them how to turn away from their sins. Christians may seem judgmental when they help a person with their sins, but their intentions are good and loving. Unless a person has given Christianity a chance, that person should not judge Christians for what they believe. There are many verses in the Bible that can justify why Christians believe what they believe about homosexuality. (I Corinthians 6:9-10 and Romans 1:26-28 are good ones to start with.) Just give Christians a chance. | 1/23/2009 |

| Aerie | Sin is what separates us from God. If it is murder or if it is not obeying your mother and father, we are all separated from God. There is only one thing that can bring us into relationship with God; that is Jesus. God's son came to die for our sins. Now by accepting forgivness for our sins from Jesus, we can have relationship with God. We try to live according to Jesus' teachings (but we all sin) and all continually need forgivness. Jesus knows this, and freely offers it to us no matter what we do. He gives us a new commandment before he dies. He says to love God with all our hearts, and he says to love everyone else as we love ourselves. We are all worth the same value in God's eyes (priceless). No matter what we do and what we have done. The devil tries to rob us of that. God and the devil are not in cohorts together. God banished the devil from his presence. They are not in on things together. The devil does not make us do things, and neither does God. We choose, we have the free will to choose. Choose wisely. |

| Jeremy | Sin happens, but that doesn't mean God approves of it. Lies, deceit, murder, etc. have occurred before there was homosexual behavior, doesn't mean God aproves it. God allowed Adam and Eve to commit sin, but that doesn't mean he made them do it, or endorses their behavior. | 8/20/2006 |

| Joshua | Okay, this is going to be my best imput..so bear with me. I do not belive that any churches have the best imput on this whole homosexual topic. Everybody has there own imput on this subject, but i belive that being a homosexual myself, that i have been denyed my rights as a citizen. Once where is was the land of the free we all got to speak our mind and so forth, yet even in ancent times homosexual acts took place. Are the churches trying to tell us that the roots of our labors and what took place then doesn't matter now? I think not, just denying the change of everybody living free. And the marrage rights, another topic on my mind right at this moment...I belive the only reasons why homosexual persons arn't alloy to marry is because of churches. Basicly stating that we are granted our rights eather. And to tell me that 'God' didn't intend for this to happen, created Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve. Which i belive that 'God' had something to do with the gay lifestyle, wouldn't you think? everything happends for a reason, yet churchs states that we are the work of the 'Devil'. That doesn't make any sence. The 'Devil' is the right hand man of 'God', which states that both are working together in this. Has anybody thought of that?...email me for your responces at lionheart1547@hotmail.com | 8/31/2004 |
