Scientists Say Watching Tv Hastens Puberty

It is a simple matter of light and radiation, say researchers. Does watching television bring on early puberty? Many parents would not doubt that repeated exposure to Sex and the City or the kind of sensual variety shows common on Italian TV could as easily turn their daughters into Lolitas as stir up the latent testosterone in their sons.

IsabellaJ Scientists Say Watching Tv Hastens Puberty??? Come on! How ridiculous, my friend ALWAYS watches TV and her face is clear! 7/2/2004
Barry Laws Jr If this is the case, then I will put the blame on all the parents who not only use TV as a babysitter but also do not control either what their kids watch and/or how much their kids watch. Parents, you have failed to do your job, and it's obvious that government intervention is the only way to go. Blame yourselves when the BBC TV tax is raised again. Blame yourselves when America institutes its own TV tax. Blame yourselves when you have to pay more for a new TV. Blame yourselves when the cable and satellite companies raise their prices because of your unwillingness to do your jobs as parents. Don't blame the makers of TV shows, don't blame the network execs, and don't blame manufacturers of TV sets...blame yourselves. 7/2/2004
