| Brian | Christians do not believe that God rested on Sunday. Along with the Jews, we believe that the Bible tells us that God established the seventh day (Saturday as we know it) as a day of rest. Sunday is (generally) observed as the day of Christian worship, because, as you stated, it is the day on which Jesus rose from the dead. Christians do not observe the Sabbath per se, because Jesus fulfilled the old testament law. He is the personification of Sabbath; we have rest in him. | 10/7/2004 |
