I am old person of more than 80 years,visited Nalanda University at least 1/2 century past. I am setteled in USA and get oppertunity to go through the Histroy but find that the Guides ,who guide the Tourist ,tells which are absolutely false when I come across some visitor. This must be stoped. |

My friend ask a question about Its Ending. SO i have its answer....The glory on Nalanda ebbed with the violence of Mihiragula-the Hun king and later the Turks (Bakhtiar Khilji) fell upon the city in 1199 forcing the monks to flee. Few decades later when the monastery was once again trying to re-establlish itself, some aggriveved Brahmins finally torched the libraries and destroyed the grand sangharama. |
