Only sickO's like to go out and kill defenseless little animals for nothing more than that pleasure rush they get from committing such acts. Enough already! Deer hunting or Elk in overpopulated areas that need thinging to save the stock, that's understandable, but today we live in a world full of supermarket on every corner with enough meat to satisfy anyones man-gut, so why kill the wildlife when it's not necessary. |

I'm from Nova Scotia, the province next to NFLD where this is happening, and I know what it's like to have the life the fishermen have, because I see it everyday. So many people have poverty here and especially because of decreasing fish stocks, which is partly Newfoundlander's faults for overfishing, and partly due to nature taking it's course and the stonger eating the weaker. This is was the province is based on: fishing. I don't support what these people or my government is doing. And even though there are more than plently of these animals out there doesn't give anyone the right to hurt them. I don't believe this is the right way to go even if they are taking jobs. These animals are just doing what we all are trying to do - trying to live. So while I am against these acts 100%, I just wish people around the world wouldn't judge so harshly, especially when they don't understand the poverty the fishermen now face. In all honestly, I'm on both sides, but I do think that there's a better way to get jobs and still keep the peace with these friendly creatures. It's just very hard to do so when dealing with the government. Anything you listen to in life, THINK CRITICALLY then judge, because sometimes there are no right and wrong answers. |

U.S. Citizens using airplanes to shoot down defenseless wolves on Alaskan snow fields, personifies America today. The government's sanctioned killing of 900 wolves in this manner is shocking. Before Bush came to power, this would never have been tolerated by the American public. The Public's complacency now is not all that surprising when you consider U.S. Citizens now turn a blind-eye to American forces in Fallujah shooting down unarmed civilians, targeting hospitals and forcing emergency care patients into the street to die. One must wonder what is the mental state of Americans who get-off by shooting unarmed civilians in Fallujah or defenseless wolves from airplanes trying to cross Alaska's snow fields in winter.
What is the mental state of the Alaska Board of Game that voted for this killing, the aerial shooting of 900 wolves? Is a hunter a real hunter, a real man, if they use an airplane to run down a wolf to exhaustion, then shoot it at point-blank range?
If this is aerial slaughter of 900 wolves is allowed to take place, Americans should consider the current mental state of their country.
