| God? lie? |
Take a look of this fact, then you will understand that God is a stupid idea.
I used to believe in God and brought my children to be a believer as well. It ended up my children were abused by the God followers. It ended up that those bad priests team up to steal my Jewels. It ended up I can report to nowhere....
Where is God? How can a such ideal good God has such Evil followers ? How can they still live happily without being punished by the God?
Child abuse 'involved 1,200 American priests'
Sexual abuse by Roman Catholic priests in the United States is even more common than was initially believed, according to a new investigation.
By Guardian Newspapers, 1/12/2003 Sexual abuse by Roman Catholic priests in the United States is even more common than was initially believed, according to a new investigation.
At least 1,200 priests are believed to have been involved in abuse, which took place in almost every diocese in the country.
More than 4,000 children have been victims of abuse by priests that stretches back to the 1930s, according to the survey carried out by the New York Times and published this weekend.
About 80% of the victims were male and 1.8% of all priests ordained in the last 50 years have been accused of committing abuse.
"This has been going on for decades, probably centuries," said Richard O'Connor, a former Dominican priest who said he was raped by three priests in New York in 1940, when he was 10. "It's just that all of a sudden they got caught."
Mr O'Connor, who assisted in the investigation, said that he was one of 10 boys attacked in a South Bronx parish, but the parents of the victims were unwilling to confront the priests out of respect for the church. "In the 1940s and 1950s, when you were talking to a priest, it was like you were talking to Jesus Christ himself," he said.
The survey found that much of the sexual abuse began in the 1960s and 1970s when there were major cultural changes inside and outside the church.
Priests were encouraged to mix with parishioners, and junior priests - many of them uncertain about their own sexuality - were given the job of working with children.
At the same time many priests, who were uncomfortable with the Vatican's position on celibacy, quit, leaving a disproportionate number of maladjusted colleagues.
The church also believed that sexual activities were confessional rather than criminal matters, so allegations of abuse were never brought to the attention of the police.
The inquiry found that while priests took a vow of celibacy not to have sex with women, they were not taught that sex with boys was a breach of this vow, merely that it was unchaste and sinful.
Of those accused of abuse, 43% were accused of molesting children aged 12 and younger. Half faced more than one allegation of abuse. © Guardian Newspapers Limited

All things come from god, so logically god is at least a fraction evil if he was able to imbue us with the ability to sin. So god could 'hurt' himself by sinning, thus causing a schism in the divinity. However Evil makes no sense when god's omnipotence is drawn into the picture...if god knew what trouble Lucifer and later Humans would cause him by free will, why go through with it? Is this god suicidal... Keep spinning, Cervantes |

And cob, there is a reasion we are on this earth, to cause disorder, and to place new order in the world. And those so called "miricles" or "acts of god" that you hear about all the time, all of them happened in order to save that persons life so they would cause more disorder later on. |

I think that although you've probably thought long and hard about it, you don't and won't understand it, because no person has the ability to understand the nature of God or can grasp the events which placed us on earth, when God created us. You may be completely correct in saying God is "testing us", but I doubt that God could be anything less then perfect, but if he can create "spirits" angels, fallen angels-demons or satan, he obviously can give them the choice of being "good" or falling from grace, just as every parent can help shape a childs choices, it is ultimately up to an individual to make their own choices. I wouldn't put to much emphasis on understanding evil, but embrace the good. I guess it's right to say there is a comparison between knowing what is good and what is evil, I think the point is we should be able to chose the good inspite of evil, and not just because we don't have a choice, because why would God want a bunch of robots? |

The order of calculated and progressive thought is always produced when the first sentence portrays an interest. The imensity of the universe and the impotence of the human clan, the seperation of people within this global space creates space for this conversation. Younglings without world wars sit well on the thoughts of all those past humans and forgive yourself because as much as you create a universe inside yourself. God is not evil. God is also not good. The pronounciation of god is only in english "that small island" and all is not lost to discover a different world than the career corporate talk. Evil Macdonalds sounds better know. Let us linguistically produce the obscenity of fantasy in the unseen or unheard untouched and unproducable talk of american, roman, and church god. GOd, god, GOD, gOD and a word to describe evil Blasphemery GOd, god, god, god, god, god, god, god, god, god, god, god, god, god, god,.god, G O D G O D hang-on bigger G o D better and how big does the GOD need to be to fear a little or alot BIGGERRRRRRRR Lots of GOD heh, No if it were down to me the little bit of an internal GOD would be enough to remove the evil during the spinning rotation of the earth whilst on its axis converts the sun into energy that allows plant life to live and thus the life of countless species and some of these die to allow man to survive and even man dies to allow man to survive. Let history show that every time they think that evil has overtaken the world. Another human comes and takes over. NOT evil. Otherwise lets start at evil such a corporate way of thinking lets all be the worst that we can be to get to this point in my life, lets(yes all of it). and know lets create a world that we may waste our time in solitude that may allow others the time the work hard, lets meditate on the plight of the world whilst we sit in our churches etc. praying for a better world when the whole world sits in agony, EVERY day, yes that is EVERY day because of a GOD. SO NOW YOU BLAME GOD FOR BEING SUCH and ineffective god. Which god would you like to have. I have only asked for an effective material GOD forget the evil, the creator of the universe, should be able to materialize at that point in a persons life when there has been nothing else for a person to believe in stand up and shake your hand, touch the back of you head with a gently touch, cause the hairs on your neck to stand on end while others are uneffected. That is more the power of GOD that may be comprehended and once is enough to confuse such miserable creatures in such a miserable world, thus evil is born because why would we want to live forever if GODs open arms are there wider than ever. |

Rev. Pam Norton: Don't you think your being a bit cynical? What you're saying is that all the bad things that go on in life are all down to man himself, and Satan. And all the good things that go on in life are all down to God. I think this analogy is unfair on man in general. If God was all-powerful, he'd be able to stop Satan. I personally am a Jew (although an atheist) and in Judaism we don't believe Satan is working against God, we believe he is working for God as outlined in Isaiah. |

if you believe in god then it becomes one of those endless metaphysical debates(starting from the chicken egg anaolgy), because to acknowedlge GOD's existence is to deny the presence of evil which seems quite out of sort with practical life. two ways out, 1.minimise the powers of god, so god is no longer omnipotent/omnipresent hence an independent entity from evil.... which seems to put most religions into the bin..... 2.become an atheist, which for me is quite funny because, how can u disbelieve something as abstract as that of a concept.its something like i dont believe in 2£@%&^%*...(say its a concept)... so we are entagled is obvious with choice. the problem arises because science with its strengths and limitations(one of the most important of them being language) cannot disprove the presence of god. so what makes anyone belive?

During the Creation, God stopped after each day and looked at what He had made and said it was good. God did not create evil. Evil comes through deceptions of Satan. Satan has inflicted the worlds and the human mind with distortions leading to our evil ways. If humankind would follow God's law ( The Ten Commandments) there would be no evil.
God has blessed each of us with the power of choice. It is entirely up to each and every one of us whether to do good or evil. It is true that God allows evil to happen, but only because of the good that will eventually come from that evil.
Through the ages human kind has blamed God for the bad/evil things that happen in our llives. Many have turned their backs to God because they did not understand why He would allow these things to happen. We must learn to trust in His judgement, it will only lead us to good. We must learn to thank God for everything that happens in our lives, good or bad because He only wants the best for us. If you are a parent, you should understand this. As a parent, you only want the best for your children, but sometimes you must allow them fall so they can learn to pick themselves up.
I encourage all who read this to visit my website, God's Church of Choice, at http://www.geocities.com/godschurchofchoice. Our mission is to relay God's messages to the world regarding these times and to tell many of His secrets that could not be revealed until now. You will learn many things, especially about the deceptions of Satan.
May the powers entrusted in each of you be blessed, use them only for the good of humankind, as the time has arrived. 'HE IS-REAL' Believe this for it will be written. Israel 1:1

Vishwas Purohit's assertion that evil was created by god, and necessary to understand good is interesting. However it ducks the question of "Why so MUCH evil?" Even the most fortunate of us faces their own death and the death of their loved ones, and some people live whole lives of hardship and struggle and loss.
Mr Purohit makes the analogy of good as chalk and evil as the chalkboard, neceassary to provide a constrasting surface to appreciate good.
Unfortunately our world seems to be a chalkboard the size of a football field, and we seem to have a half inch piece of chalk.
