Colin I believe that after death you loose all awareness of the passage of time so that even an infinite amount of time seems like no time at all. So even if you are really dead forever to you it may seem like you instantly begin your next life even if by the time you begin this next life an infinite amount of time has passed. 1/8/2011

sck I like the passage "probably a notion that God sent me here for a certain period in life and now that he’s so lonely after having created so many things around him, so he needs me back there!" 10/23/2010

jelly some of us are too preoccupied with this topic on death; is it really all that complicated? even a simple farmer understands life and death, yet the majority often miss the mark. she tends to her crops with care, and watches it grow from seed to plant and to fruition and to seeds again; her crops' death is really life. a simple farmer understands life and death; don't believe me, go ahead and spend some time with one. 7/6/2009

Ashlyn Hartford I am truly astounded Mrs. Salla . I have never read anything as true and as real as this, especially about Death itself. So many have tried to write about Death's meaning but I couldn't gain what knowledge I was looking for and trying to figure out. You have summed it and explained it very well and I know have a better insight about Death.
I'm actually doing my junior research project on Death(we got to pick our topics so my other class mates are doing theirs on like materialism, acceptance, justice, happiness etc...) but I wanted to do something different you know? People need to understand that Death is apart of life too and thanks to you I can explain to them in the most perfect way what Death is.
Thank you so much for writing about such a fascinating and interesting topic!

Hi Ian,

I'd say each to his/her own...For me it migt be the beginning of something new, for another the end of life and a complex biochemical reaction for you; all in all, each to his/ her own. Thanks for your comments though!

Ian Upton death... which you so profoundly speak about is just a complex biochemical reaction, called life coming to a silent end... The question is, did we do anything to pass on our genetic code to ensure our place in evolution. Theianupton@yahoo.com 2/22/2005
