Nicole I am not necessarily opposed to gay marriages. I believe that since the world can't decide on a religion to follow, then there is no reason that they can withhold marriage to gay couples. If everyone, at least in this country, believed and lived by the Bible’s word then that would be a different story. But we must be accommodating to each other’s rights and wants in a democratic society.
However, I do disagree with the way California has been acting. It is illegal to give licenses of marriage to same-sex couples. They should have gone another route of forming their thoughts into reality. If they were so outraged they should have gone through the proper channels of submitting a bill, because if the marriage is not legal then what are you getting out of it other than disputes and publicity?
