the truth He didn't have any problems when Viacon was buying up everything, but now that it is Clear Channel he is against it. What a hypocrite!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He is old enough to be a grandfather to those girls that come on his show. Pete-O_PHILE 12/9/2004

Mechelle Myers I don't Love Howard Stern, but I have been listening in on his show for quite a while now, and my opinion is this: He's been "Offensive " for how long now?! I mean come on! As notorious and controversial as he has been ALL THESE YEARS...it seems like people would know when to tune in and out by now. You don't HAVE to listen,or watch him on T.V. even! By HATING him , your only igniting his flame ...seems like the people would also know that by now! Howard S. can be annoying at times...but only by the constant "repeating" of his "Vulgarness", he needs new material...thats the problem! Just quit whining and turn him off ... your intitled to your own opinion,I agree, but something must have drawn you to listen to him yo hate him so!?!? 5/5/2004
Gimps I think this happening is an infringment on the First ammendment. I know what the feedback on that would be: "Somebody think of the children..." The kids are going to hear it sometime or other, and if the parents don't want the kids hearing it, it should be the parent's job to censor what they are hearing and seeing. 5/4/2004
Sherri Beckwith I think Howard Stern should not be on any station. He is offensive, especially to woman. He is making money from individual weaknesses and has no respect for people. The situaitons he find funny are not, they are people's lives that he pokes with. 4/29/2004
Trev I totally disagree with Howard Stern and think his radio show is repulsive, however, taking his show off the air is a violation of freedom of speech and if they take him off, they can take anyone else off. 4/22/2004
George That Howard Stern needs to be off the air forever!!!! He is a total disgrace to society!!!! He is an ANTI-CHRIST!!!! He needs to pay an extreme heavy fine, because of his indecency!!!! 4/12/2004
Phil He loved President Bush when we wentinto Iraq. But when the FCC fined him he changed his tune. He is a (rich) jerk 4/12/2004
Who Cares Stern is nothing but a jerk. No body should waste their time worring about him either way. 4/8/2004
Darlene Lynette I love Howard.I am so glad he wasn't taken off the air...What will we do when he is really gone? I don't think we'll take it seriously when it really does happen. 4/1/2004
Marge I hope this is not a joke. Stern is bad for our country. Bravo to the FCC! :) 4/1/2004

The FCC Has anyone found any news articles about this? I can't find anything. These guys are so bad that replaced Howard. So I think that it's an April Fools joke. 4/1/2004
BB Marge you cant even spell (here??) its Hear, get a education and then maybe you can have a real conversation 4/1/2004
Jason I hope that this is an April fools joke. Did we just relocate the taliban to our country? What are we fighting for? Get ready to put your burque on, Marge. You want it, I think that you're going to get it. 4/1/2004

Marge I think it is a good idea to get that type of filth off the air where our children can here it. 4/1/2004
John I can't find anything anywhere about Howard beinf off the air. And how about the phrases the "JOCKS" are using, like filth free radio and family radio. I think it has to be a joke. 4/1/2004
ed Taking Howard off the air is taking away his freedom of speech, AND MINE! I thought I live in a free country but with the FCC I have to reconsider this. I am willing to support any and all of the movements towards closing down the FCC and regaining the freedom of expression. 4/1/2004

Josh I would like to believe this is an April Fool's Joke. I haven't been able to find any information on the web regarding this matter.

Howard said earlier in the week he was planning his April Fool's show.

dixie normus I hope it's just an April Fool's joke! 4/1/2004
F The FCC Howard is off the air everywhere! Not just Clear Channel. The is a sad day for the United States. Bush closed a newspaper in Iraq and The Howard Stern in the same week. What happened to the first amendment? The religious right has hijacked the USA. 4/1/2004
Bruce Clear Channel can do what they want. It is their business, but I am a howard fan. I trust that he will overcome. 3/17/2004
Bruce Clearstream can do what they want. It is their business, but I am a howard fan. I trust that he will overcome. 3/17/2004
Tim Responding to Ray's post about teen preganacy, I think that teen preganacy is a result of our society being so repressed by religious wackos. 3/11/2004
mickey p If you don't like to listen to his show, change the station. I find Howard's honesty refreshing and his humour generally uplifting. Sometimes, I do turn him off, but that is my choice. The hypocrisy of Clear Choice, who gladly took the money Stern brought in is appalling. I'm glad I live in Canada (except it's friggin' cold!) because the U.S. looks more like Iraq or Iran everyday. Whose running your country?...Sadaam Bush? 3/6/2004
Brandi Its sucks because Howard Stern is the only real person on the radio. Everyone else is so fake and only follow the herd. Radio is not going to be worth listening to because Howard was the only one who is really entertaining. All the other radio stations are like kiddy shows catering to those who are afraid to talk about what’s real. So go on all you other radio station DJ’s and obey what the government wants. Wow, this country is just like the one we’re supposedly trying to rescue. I feel sickened that my brother is fighting a war in another country for no reason because our own government in America is inflicting the "free" people with religious rule. If you don’t like what’s on the radio then turn it off and stop ruining it for the rest of America! 3/5/2004
Eric A. Ramey Taking away the Howard Stern Show or any other show is unAmerican. Y ou might as well go to Iraq and look all our troops in the eyes, you know the ones who are fighting for freedoms and the right to do or say what you please, and tell them that your time here is wasted freedom is a thing of the past. Let me say to all you supposed "Religous and god fearing people" that I think you are complete hipocrits. For instance, let's say that I'm a catholic and I was watching the tv and I saw a protistan preacher preaching on the tv and I decided that this is bad tv for America. So I wrote in and complained and then the protistan show was pulled from the air because I deemed it was innappropriate. Now I ask you this, what makes me or any man worthy enough of this power. Do you religous types consider yourselves to be the almighty now. Because that's how you act. Like you know what's best for every man on this earth. Well I personally think it is the parents that should determine what their kids watch and if you don't want them to watch or listen to something then that's your choice. Their's parental blocks on tv and even aol that parents can control the content their kids watch. You want to make a difference then let's see some government funded parenting classes. Oh wait I'm sorry that would be putting taxing money to good use. Heaven knows we need to spend tax money on stupid surveys and more dumb traffic laws so they can charge us out the butt in court for traffic violations to put that money to more use for other pointless things. All the time while they let murderers and felons walk. You know I'm beginning to think that this country is heading away from democracy and towards a totalitarian society. Because the day one man or religous group can determine what's "right" for everybody and then they start to think for us and we can no longer think for ourselves that will be a sad day indeed. Because I should have the right to determine what I want to watch, when I want to watch it and how I want to watch it an with whoever I want to watch it with and I'll be dang if I will let any of you staunchy and prudish religous types tell me what's best for me because only I can tell myself that. So, I hope we stop taking away freedoms and for once let the people determine individually what's best for them to see, do, watch and hear. And also stop letting the government determine what our taxes are good for and letting us have some say so in it. This country is really taking a step backward and we're turning into the countries that we're trying to reconstruct right now. But I will tell you one thing I'm willing to die before I let any man tell me what I can do. Because this is America and it's time to start acting like it.

Ray I think it is really sad that the FCC can bully Howard off the air. If they spent half the time trying to prevent crime and teenage pregnancy, we just might have a decent society 3/1/2004
