| MI | Yeah I don't think babies should have solid foods before 4-6 moths. My daughter is 15 months now and started her on rice cereal at 5 1/2 months and 1st foods at 6 months. My sisters daughter is 12 months and she wasn't started on solid foods until 6 1/2 months but it was every other day. My daughters fathers, brother son doctor told them to start him on cereal at 2 weeks of age because he weighed 13 lb. I told her that it's best to wait until 4 months or even longer like 6 months. But she said her whole family was started early. Then she started giving him mashed potatoes, grean beans, carrotts, like table foods, and chocolate cake at 2 months. Even if there doctor didn't tell them too. Then there doctor said to start giving him baby food at 4 months so they did. But by 5 months he was eating find chopped meat once in a while. He's still eating baby food and table foods. He's 7 months old now and he's had two runny noise and wheezing. I told them that sounds like he might have a little food allergies, but they are not really conserened. My daughter and his Grandma which is my daughter fathers Mother said food allergies does run in the family. But she said well I will give my son what ever I want to. Because my family is doing ok. | 11/9/2004 |
