Sasha Faces Death in Alaska

An Anchorage family's companion animal, which they claimed was a German shepherd/husky mix, has been seized by officials who say that the animal is actually a hybrid wolf.

Hannah Please, I beg the Governor's leniency for this matter, as Sasha's innocence is, and could be proven time, and again,

Melissa I think it's a shame they have taken the animal away from the only family she knew. Imagine that you have a child you have raised since its birth and then suddenly, because your child was unpredictible, the state wants to take it away a few years later. You'd feel terrible, wouldn't you? It is not Sasha's fault she is a wolf hybrid, just like none of us can help being specific races of human beings. Yes, wolf hybrids may be illegal in Alaska, but what if the owners required a permit, or even moved? Not all states forbid wolf hybrids. Rather than killing the poor animal, which is descrimination on her part, (I don't care if she'd a wolf/wolf hybrid or not, it's still the same.) give the owners suggestions and support on what they can do. They could attempt a permit, and certain proper enclosures, or maybe move to a different state that allows those animals. They shouldn't have their 'child' taken away from them, much like yours shouldn't be taken away from you if you loved it and cared for it. Think of how you would feel. 4/9/2005
Sonya I believe that Sasha should not be killed. Sasha should be relocated to some place where she can be kept. It is very unfair and inhumane to kill a animal because of legalities. Family pets are just that family. It is just like killing one of their children! The kiling of animals should only be done with enough reason. For example if they have actually attacked somebody or thing. Or if they are ill. 2/13/2004
