cheri Thanks, this article was more help to me than you think. I was constanty thinking about a week long relationship i had a few months back. evrything was a whirlwind and i could not figure out what was wrong where. I have been trying to analyse as to why the guy was acting so weird. Surprisingly; most of the traits you mentioned are there. except for feigning intelligence; and disrespecting service providers i guess. this could be because i had told him that respect for any human was important to me. But otherwise this description fits him to a 'T'. and impulsive shopping was his forte. never wore anything less than designers. and constantly mocked at my t shirts and faded jeans.Is there any way we can give such persons professional help. like Making his friends(as far as i know; there are less than 5!) aware or something. What surprises me is that the friend who actually introduced me to him thinks he is the greates man alive on earth! 3/4/2009

mdogo That is some really good advice and very good to know. I never would have thought of some of that but now that those behavoirs are brought to my attention i think it will make me more aware. 10/7/2005
brunilde I never thought of it! It matches my ideas thoght. There are many situations in life where it is possible to encounter abusers and it certaily helps to know how to spot them. By recognizing behavioural traits , body and verbal language, it could be possible to recognize and therefore avoid abuse. thank you 9/3/2005
