How to Spot an Abuser on Your First Date

Is there anything you can do to avoid abusers and narcissists to start with? Are there any warning signs, any identifying marks, rules of thumbs to shield you from the harrowing and traumatic experience of an abusive relationship?

sally I went on one date with this guy and all he wanted to do was sell me on some stupid business opportunities-money, I probley said no 5 times but he just keep going on and on-it was all about him! How he needed to get up his quota. Then he kept giving me some sob stories-aww poor baby-give me a puke bag. Well after yawning for about the 100th time I said point blank not interested in dating-in a nice way of course-gotta go. This guy accually thought I really gave a flip about him and his business, sorry dude not here for you. What a nut. Anyways when a man can not take NO for an anwser and is very aggressive run the other way. Guess he thought the world revolved around-He didnt impress me one bit,I am outta here. Vivian He thinks his lies are so "smart" that nobody could tell, but, in reality or in my own mind, they were/are so obvious and stupid!

He would also deny anything he has ever said "wrong" or untrue no matter what evidence you show right in front of him - and he is the same with every single lie he tells (for years).

Vivian The first question of my Narcissist ex-partner asked me was: "do you know what exactly 4Ps (a theory) are for Marketing?" - this was when we met the first time during a business meeting (me/my company as the customer, and him as the supplier) - I still think it was such as joke and strange question even after 17 years - much like a question from a boss to the employee! 4/15/2004
