laceita i feel that no one should juges use but god and that it is ok to love some one of the same sex. me and my lover has been together for the past 2 years and we want to get married rite here at home (which is in the state of Texas )but it don't look like that is goin to happen. i want my family and friends to be there when i walk down the ale. i feel like we are hiding our love from the people tht hate gays. why do we as a gay community have to travle to all these diffrent states just to say i i do's when we should be able to do it in areon home town just like the stright people. but i would like to thank the states that do allow use gays to get married in other gays home town. 9/16/2006
Sara Syhre i actually approve of gay marriages and gay relationships. i mean, if girls make out or even kiss, most guys think that its attractive and really cool, but it's as if two guys kiss, it makes them sick to their stomachs. Why would it if they allow two girls to do it, why can't they allow two guys to do it? They shouldn't care about what other people do, its not like they're the ones that are doing things with the guys or girls that are gay/ lesbian. 3/14/2006

zoomnet I believe marriage was instituted to insure the protection of offspring from a union. Now I might not be a genius but I know that a gay couple can never have their own children resulting from their marriage.
So why should they have marriage rights? Well they love each other, they live together, and they are a family. Some even have children from previous marriages or adoption.
Well I love my sister, we live together, and we are raising our children from a previous marriage and we are a family. So whats the difference? Can my sister and I get married so she can be on my health insurance also? NO !!?? why??
Oh I think I see why. We are not having sex. Gay people expect all these extra rights that other people don’t get, because they are having sex. Well whoo pee doo. Two sisters living together and raising their children cant have marriage rights. Even a poor old 80-year-old mother living with her son isn’t allowed to be on his health insurance, but of course they aren’t having sex are they?
Explain to your young son why his grandmother isn’t getting the care she needs because she has no health insurance and she cant be on yours, and why the two gay people next door get to put their sex partner on health insurance .
So no one else who lives together, cousins, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, friends or family, are allowed these rights that marriage brings, but gay people can have them. So why do they get these special rights??? Just because they are having sex???? No way. It’s not fair at all.
America if you give rights to these people because they love each other and are living in a family environment, then everyone else who loves each other and are living in a family should get the same rights.
America if you give rights to these people because they are having sex, then America your one sick country.

Angie Balcarcel I believe gay couples should be allowed to get married. It isn't anybody's business anyway what an individual's sexual preference is. If two people from the same sex want to get married, that is their personal choice. Why should the government be discriminating anyway? This is all about what two people feel about eachother. If an individual feels that they are in love with their partner, then who does the government think they are for denying them this? It is all about privacy and respect. 1/14/2004
kittitasthree Technically, there is about 14 states that have accepted a bill on Gay Marriage. But many states completely disapprove of it... Does anyone, especially George Bush, have the right to take away anothers freedom? Technically, marriage is defined as two people( regardless of sex) that love each other spend the rest of their lives with eachother...whats wrong with that? So the ultimate question is, does anyone really have the right to take away anothers freedom, especially on marriage? 1/8/2004
Jennifer I personally believe that any individual who loves another person, let it be the same sex or not, deserves any right that anyone else deserves. Regardless of any belief. 1/5/2004
Tasha I think that all gay marriages should be allowed all over the USA. 12/26/2003
