To Rebecca Is it sour grapes your experiening or what. Why are you so upset because this girl is being honored. There are many soldiers in this war who will be honored, not just Jessica. What is wrong with people finding something about this war to feel good about. Are you upset because you can't get a million dollar book deal? I'm sure she would trade that book deal for a chance to erase what she went through. If anyone is a disgrace to West Virginia, I would say it is you. |

I think Jessica Lynch is a disgrace to West Virginia.. I ve lived here all my life, im 32 yrs old. Ive always taken pride in being from here. But she she has made me feel ashamed . How can i treasure a state that puts just anyone on a pedastal. She did nothing more then anyother soldier that went and fought for our country. Why does she get a medal and not them. She isnt the only one that got hurt. What makes her so special. I have nothing against her. Mainly i have it against the people that think she is the greatest thing ever. I felt sorry for her when she got hurt and when she was well enough to come home i was proud.. But then she turned into a hero . I thought a hero was someone that did something honorable, something heroic.. What did she do besides fighting for our country, and getting hurt? If she gets a medal for getting injured in the line of duty then all the others should also. Yes i understand she was raped.. Did that make her hero.. Please i really want to know. She really didnt deserve the honor she got or is getting. Im very saddened to call my self a West Virginian , knowing now that the people are desperate enough to pick anyone to be a hero. Knowing the states vaues are so low . |
