International Groups Unite Against Canada Seal Slaughter
Over the next three years, the Canadian government will allow the legal slaughter of nearly 1,000,000 baby seals, 95 percent of whom are only 12 days to 12 months old.

I see no point in killing seals. there defenceless. how would you like getting hit over the head, till your dead? Anyone who ever participated in any of there, you should be ashamed of your self. How on earth do you feel proud when it comes to killing poor, harmless animals? |

Thank God, there's finally something everybody can do to stop this barbaric slaughter. I recently discovered that it's actually Canadian FISHERMEN that slaughter these baby seals during their "off season". I also learned that two restaurants in the U.S., Red Lobster & Olive Garden are the two largest consumers of Canadian seafood. By refusing to eat at either of these restaurants you are directly hurting the people responsible for this savage "hunt". Boycott Red Lobster & Olive Garden. MOST IMPORTANTLY, TELL YOUR FRIENDS!!!!! |

About the seal hunt, I think that large and frequent demonstrations are needed on a weekly basis for example, to raise awareness and become respected as an opposition to the hunt. There is a huge number of peoplein Canada who do not know anything or close to nothing about the hunt. Many do not even know what a seal looks like. In these conditions, I do not think we are efficient in our opposition. I believe that we should pressure also the governements around the world to ask Canadian govt. to stop the hunt . It is necessary also to work with the govt towards finding alternative employments for the sealers, otherways this won't stop. All these should be done immediately, before another 350 000 seals will be killed the next hunting season starting on November. New jobs should be created a.s.a.p.(For ex. in ecotourism) Otherways the cycle will repeat itself again. It is the only way this will stop completely! |

How bout I treat you like you treat the animals(seals)? Would you like it if I hit you in the skull, shot you once, or hurt you, then left you to lie there and suffer. Bleeding to death, tell me how you like it when I leave you lieing there! Tell me how you like it when I go after your family, killing them, watching them die, you wouldnt like it would you? So dont do it to animals! Dont make them suffer! |

Hi Phil:
Good for you! You said what we all need to say! This is a crime of humongous proportions. How can Canadians dare to say they're proud of their country and they're proud to be Canadians when they allow this atrocity to continue? Shame on them and I hope everything bad happens to them to pay for what they're doing to these beautiful creatures. You know what their flag symbolizes? The red symbolizes the slaughtered seals' blood spilling upon the snow. Shame on Canada and Canadians should be ashamed to be Canadians and allow their government to commit this crime. |
