Well they were both great. They both have a uniqueness to them that the other could not copy. Clay has a powerful well controlled voice. Ruben has a nice raspy soul stirring voice. I personally liked both. As we all can see they are both winnders in the end, so everyone needs to get over themselves and stop all the nonsense about who should of, would of, could of....Clay and Ruben have no problems. come on, we all know why ruben won. I'm not taking anything away from his voice, it's great, but it is one dimensional. Clay (and let's put the rumors to rest, yes his is probably gay, so what?) is by far the more talented of the two singers, he has more range and is has better potential for a music "package". Let's just drop the subject, in the end Clay will make more money and will be listened to by more people. |

U ppl r dumb ruben won face it. Hes more popular and more marketable than clay. CLay is a good singer but ruben has soul and flow and knows when to sing his heart out in drum it down. He maintained his singing composure at the end when he won unlike kelly Clarkslut who just mumbled a moment like this. He has made more appearances on tv then Clay. The contest is over, Ruben won... we have to live with that! I appreciate both Clay and Ruben and believe that they cannot be compared to each other. They have different styles and abilities. In all fairness to Ruben, he has a great voice and seems like a terrific person. I wish him luck in his music career. In my opinion, Clay is the superior singer. But it's not only his talent that make him so special, it's this thing called Charisma! How else can you explain all the commotion he is responsible for. When was the last time you saw teenaged girls, mothers and grandmothers screaming along side each other at concerts and fan websites created by star-struck middle-aged woman? I have watched every single IDOL 2 show and I can actually say that I witnessed a star being born before my very eyes. Ruben is a great performer but Clay will be a mega superstar and a role model for our young america. Up to this point, we have only seen a preview of this young man's potential. I think the best of Clay is yet to come. It's almost like the calm before he takes America and other countries by storm. Part two to be continued after the release of his highly anticipated full-length album in October. |

A statistics & telecommunications analyst was interviewed by the Wall Street Journal after the AI2 finale & he said it was obvious that Clay had more votes because of this: if both guys had the same number of phone lines, the one with the most people calling in would get jammed & the one with the least number of people calling in would register a slightly higher number of successful calls. Other experts agreed, so that proves that Clay should have won! It has nothing to do with race, you idiots! If that's the case, then why do so many of Clay's fans think Kim Locke should have been #2??? Because she's a better singer than Ruben, that's why!
