Jeff I have a 60 lb Australian Cattle Dog, 10 years old, with "Cushings disease". Recently, she has developed canerous growths on her genatalia, and it is metastizised in the past two weeks. I know shw dosen't have long, and I've been treating with Canine NSAID suspension orally. She has a voracious appetite, and is playful for a time. Without recommending or condoning anything, can you tell me if oxycodone has ever successfully used short term for teminal cancer in any dogs you have read about? Y or N is fine 2/24/2008

Pauly Krutulski I currently have my dog on the chewable 100mg tablets, she is a Black German Shepherd with severe arthritis, she just turned 8 yrs old. Well, originally I had her on two extra strength Bayer twice a day, but I was adivised that she cannot stay on that LONG TERM. If there a different medicine that is MORE for pain, like the aspirin, because I seen a much more dramatic improvement when she was on the aspirin vs. the Rimadyl. I called the Vet this morning, and she told me that I can give her 1 in the morning now, and 1 in the evening, and last night, that second one seemed to help much better than only one. Can I give her 1 1/2 in the morning and only the other 1/2 at night, because during the day is when she needs the most relief, she loves to go for walks, and go Bye Bye ANYWHERE, but since she started on this Rimadyl, I just do not feel or see that she is out of pain. Let me know your thoughts on this or if there is something stronger, even narcotic if necessary, that she could either take with the Rimadyl or in place of. She weighs about 100 lbs. right now, which is down 8 lbs. in the past two weeks since I started feeding her much less and taking her for plenty of walks. Thank you for your anticipated cooperation in this matter!! 7/7/2004
