Wild Horse Seizure Averted

Wild horse preserve operator Slick Gardner recently saved approximately 500 horses owned by two Western Shoshone Native Americans from being seized by the United States Department of the Interior Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and very likely ending up in slaughterhouses.

t. anderson Who is Norman Lyn and F. Spener? This is absolutly not true. I have seen the horses and know that they have been cared for and the reason that they are sick is from prior conditions. The majority of them are much better than they were. The exceptions are those that are 25-30 yrs old and have been badly affected by liver damage from the arsnic infected water they were drinking on prior land. 9/29/2003
F. Spencer I know for a fact that Mr. Gardner is starving these ponies, and also stiffed the Shoshone people of the $. Please STOP him, before they all die a horrible death!

Norman Lyn Rather than writing a story about the horses that Mr. Gardner so called "rescued", why not look into the real story. These horses are starving and several are dying under Mr. Gardner's care. He is a selfish man with alterior motives and there are almost 500 horses sufering because of it. I would like to see an update by the Animal News Center on this story and a call for help in getting these horses back to health. 6/13/2003
