Ann, I am so happy for you! It sounds like you had a wild day!!! Tell us all about it please! |

| ann coulter |
i just had the most incredible day. the guy who picked me up the other night his name is jim called me to tell me that his friend whose name is barry was not able to get to my car until today and that we could go see how it's going so he picked me up and we went over there and i felt so happy it restored my faith in people and his friend was so handsome and so nice he told me that he had to replace a lot of parts and that it was expensive but as a favor to jim that he would make a deal with me so i spent the day with jim and barry at jim's pool and they were both really hot and one thing led to another. it was a great day and they said my car should be ready tomorrow so it just goes to show how much all of you know |

Ann, angelas right, u probably wont ever see your car again. But if you live in a small town the chances are good you might get it back, but they probably drove far away by now. |
7/27/2003 |
| angela |
Ann.. I doubt you will ever get your car back. You should have never got in the car that night. I think you should call the police, or your insurance company and report it. But, it might not do any good, cause, 1 your were drinking and driving, 2 you don't know the guys name, 3 you don't know where he lives, 4 you don't know where his friend lives. But, it is worth the try. I told you that you probably would never see your car again. |

i have spent all day looking for my car and the guy who said he would get his friend to fix it and i haven't had any luck at all. my car wasn't where i left it the other day and i have no idea where the guy lived because he did the driving. i remember that he drove an suv of some type but i don't know one from the other and i am just so embarassed that i can't call the cops besides this could all be just some type of misunderstanding i mean maybe he wanted to make sure my car was fixed before he came to pick me up and his friend wasn't able to come through and fix the car as quickly as he thought and he was ashamed to tell me |

Thank God I have the right not to buy the Dixie Chicks music. Radio Stations shouldn't be forced to play the Dixie Chicks music if they don't like their music. |

The dixie chicks have a right to speak their mind. Or are we slaves to the government? |

Right.. ok, it could have been a person on the street. It could have been anybody, you could have even got in a wreck and killed someone. Then you would go to jail for vehicular manslaughter. Then you would lose your children. And with the guy, do you even know his name? I wouldn't be to suprised if you never see your car ever again. |
7/25/2003 |

yes you two are going away, away for good! |

7/25/2003 |
| Jeanette |
You gave your car keys to a total stranger? |
7/25/2003 |
| ann coulter |
i gave the keys to the guy who picked me up and he said that he would have a friend of his tow it to his shop and work on it for me for free. first i meet this guy and then he knows someone who can fix my car for me so things are really looking up for me!!! |

what would a child have been doing walking on a curb in the middle of the night? |
7/25/2003 |
| angela |
What? Are you still to drunk to remember what you even wrote? |
7/25/2003 |
| angela |
What would you have done if that curb was a child or someone. Do you not even think about that? How stupid are you to go out and get drunck and drive. You could have killed others. Yeah, have fun getting kidnapped. But I truly mean it, I hope you don't get hurt. I would hate to see anybody get hurt. Just be careful. Although, that is a stupid decision. |
7/25/2003 |

i went out last night and i got so wasted and then i ran into the same couple from the night before and went back to their place with them and then things got very weird and i left and i don't know what time it was and so on the way home i got lost because i was so disoriented and while i was looking for street signs i wasn't watching where i was going and i drove up on the curb and the car wouldn't drive anymore so i just left it there and decided to hitch a ride home and this really nice guy picked me up and he lived not far from there and he saw i was upset so we went back to his place for more drinks and to talk. anyway i am going away with him this weekend and i am really excited about it! |
7/25/2003 |

7/25/2003 |

What happened Ann? Did you run into that couple again? |
7/25/2003 |

I just think it is so funny about the feud!!! I fell in love with Toby Keith when i was just 5 years old and im 14 and in high school now'!! When the Dixie Chicks came out i like them and everything but they were just too not right for the gang type deal!!Sorry try again in a few centuies Natalie!! I love you TK |
7/25/2003 |
| ann coulter |
i know i shouldn't go out tonight but i am so edgy and restless and i need a drink. i keep losing my nights to other people and i am afraid i will run into that couple again and i won't be able to say no. |

fan, there is a big difference between defending what someone did and "backing" him. Clinton said, "You know, everybody makes mistakes when they are president. I mean, you can't make as many calls as you have to make without messing up once in a while. The thing we ought to be focused on is what is the right thing to do now. That's what I think." Clinton is right. This administration was so focused on getting support for the war that they didn't seem to have a plan on what to do once they took over. |

who cares what natalie said. Its her mouth, God gave it to her, and she can say what ever she wants. I dont see why everyone is so concerned about it, shoot, if I lived in Texas, I would be ashamed from being there too if bush lived there. Somebody needs to tell that alcoholic to go back to the AA meetings. And banning the Dixie Chicks music is so damn stupid. If people dont want to hear it, change the station. Its also stupid to hate there music now too,... Whats the freaking point???? I dont know if everyone has heard of the rap singer R. Kelley, but he melested a little girl and got off like O.J Simpson. In fact I heard his stupid music on the radio. Why isnt every one banning his music? Well I guess in this good ole U.S.A you can't critizize the president, but you can go out and rape somebody and everything is all right, and they keep playing your music and everything. Am I wrong? NO!!! hit the bullet right on the head. |

Well, all I can say is Natalie started it. Doesnt really seem like she has the brains to be in the public eye. Everytime her mouth opens it seems to ooze ignorance. I don't hate but i just wish she lived in Iraq. Go Toby, Go US Military, thank God for the soldiers marines airmen and sailors. Come back soon. Oh yeah and im behind Bush even though he might not be the brightest bulb on the tree, but what did you expect....he is from Texas! |

I don't care that Natalie said what she said. Hell, I think it is good that we have freedom of speech, but what bothers me, is that she wasn't an adult about it. She shouldn't have made that comment at that time or place. Yes, we do have the right to freedom of speech, but there are just times when people know that you don't say certain things, not saying they can't cause something terrible would happen to them, just that, it is not appropriate. |

No Country boy I did not serve in any branch of the military, but that does not mean I can't point out the hypocrisy of those who attacked Clinton for not serving in the military but support Bush and Cheney, even though they avoided service in Vietnam too. Saying that Natalie Maines is a coward because she said what she said in the UK instead of in front of Americans is absolutely preposterous. Certainly she knew that what she said would get back to the US, and she has repeated that she does not agree with the Bush policies. Apparently, you don't believe in freedome of speech, unless someone agrees with you. That's sad. |

Jeanette did nat say " I don't think we should be risking American lives in Iraq" during the concert or after the concert? There is a big difference between during and after the concert. And yes I know the people at the concert new who she was, but they were not AMERICANS! Thats what I'm trying to say. If they had guts they would have said it infront of AMERICANS! OK!? Do you understand now? Oh yes before I go I would like add more thing. AT least Bush SERVED! Unlike clinton! How about you? Did you serve in a military branch? If you did good for you. If you din't well then shut up about Bush! |

This confusion can easily be avoided if you pronounce the word intended aloud. If it has a voiced Z sound, then it's "lose." If it has a hissy S sound, then it's "loose." Here are examples of correct usage: "He tends to lose his keys." "She lets her dog run loose." Note that when "lose" turns into "losing" it loses its "E."

Angela, I know that Clinton did the same thing as Cheney. EVERYONE knows that Clinton did the same thing as Cheney. The difference is that people called Clinton a draft dodger for doing it, but Cheney was never scrutinized. Cheney was Secretary of Defense during one Gulf War and VP during another. And yes, Bush could have gone, IF he had signed up for combat. Instead, the joined a unit that was not going and missed quite a few weekends while he was a member of the guard. Do you think your brothers or my uncle would have gotten away with that?
The irony is that two men who are supposedly so pro-military opted out of serving themselves. |
7/22/2003 |
| angela |
Bush could have gone, the service didn't send his unit, my brothers unit didn't go, does that mean they have connections? Hell no, and I bet you anything Bush was probably put on warning. All units are put on warning when there is a chance of war or when a war is actually going on. And check this out, Clinton done the same thing as Cheney, he deferred service due to education too. |
7/22/2003 |
| Jeanette |
Check it out, Angela. Cheney deferred service in Vietnam citing educational and marriage obligations. Bush joined a National Guard unit (that was not sent to Vietnam) and was trained to pilot planes that were not ever going to be used in the war, guaranteeing that he would not have to go. My uncle's unit was sent to Vietnam in 1968 and he spent a year over there, leaving behind my aunt and my two cousins. I guess he didn't have the right connections. |
7/22/2003 |
| angela |
Jeanette.. how do you know that Bush and Cheney did that? Also, my brother are in the national guards.. he almost got sent over there but Turkey decided not to let us use their land. Ok, like he says.. they signed up for a reason, they know the chances that they are going to face. They have signed up to help protect our freedom, as well as, others freedom. And with the whole Natalie thing.. she did not act like an adult about it, I mean, she shouldn't have said what she said during that time. |
7/22/2003 |
| Jeanette |
Country boy, I read what you said, and I read what Gregory said. I think Gregory's comments were valid. You said Natalie Maines was a coward because she said what she said on foreign soil. I don't think that is cowardly. I can't speak for Gregory, but I think he was trying to say "Why is saying what you believe in front of a crowd in the UK cowardly?" Everyone there knew who she was, so I agree that it took guts on her part. All of us are able to post our beliefs here with out posting our full names and like you, I would not post my last name here either. The difference is that Natalie Maines didn't do it anonymously and I think that is anything but cowardly. You said that Natalie Maines never said that she didn't think we should be risking American lives in Iraq, but she did say that when she was asked about her comments. About fan's comment, there is a difference between Bush and our troops "fighting" for freedom. Bush is not risking his life like they are. In fact, Bush and Cheney were both able to escape duty in Vietnam while many young men their age were serving in Southeast Asia so neither one has ever defended our freedoms in any way. |
7/22/2003 |
| Country boy |
Jeanette I did not say that nat put down our troops. Read what gregory said and read what i said. It should explain a little better. Gegory said nat said she said "She said what she said because she didn't think we should be risking american lives in iraq." In which she never did. So there is my part of the question. Leave me alone. |

I think the Angry American was referring to the term "fight" in all instances, for example Bush is "fighting" for our rights in a non-physical way himself. |
7/21/2003 |
| Jeanette |
Angry American and Country boy, would you please answer a question? Who has "put down those who are out there fighting to protect that right [freedom of speech] for you"? If you think Natalie Maines put down any of our troops, you need to read her comments again. She said, "Just so you know, we're ashamed the President of the United States is from Texas." The President of the United States never fought for our freedoms, and Natalie Maines never said anything bad about the troops who are. In fact, she spoke about that in her interview with Diane Sawyer: "…we support the troops. We support the troops l00 percent. We have said that from day one. People have quoted we don’t support the troops, which is the opposite of anything we have ever said. There is not a correlation between not wanting a war and not supporting the troops who are doing their job…." I support our troops but I strongly disagree with this war. That is my right as an American, whether you like it or not Angry American. |
