Paul Robinson Someone commented about whether these could evade defensive systems. It doesn't matter. So, instead of making an expensive $500,000 cruise missile that can evade defensive systems, you build the $3,000 one and you launch 100 of them and it still costs less. Plus you have the advantage: they have to stop *all* of them; you only have to get *one* through, and you have 100 times as many chances. Also, you have the advantage of costing the other side a lot more money, since they're having to spend enormous amounts because instead of having to use one expensive counter-missile missile, they have to use one hundred. A 100 to 1 increase in defensive costs can lead to bankruptcy no matter how big your military budget is. 1/10/2005
