It seemed little more than a personal tragedy when the University of Michigan rejected Jennifer Gratz, a promising high school student with impeccable grades, for a place at its prestigious college of literature, science and arts.

isisunveiled Even if she wasnt accepted she did not have to sabotage her own life by becoming a pathetic secretary. "We shall overcome"? Dont forget affirmative action just only helps minorities, but women of all races, including white. Not only were her test scores lower, but so were her volunteer hours. I do not like anything about affirmative action because it's like a free pass as if I am not capable of accomplishing something without race/gender. 1/20/2005
