it just makes me sad tosee the two together becuase even though i know scott is dateing someone else and even though i know that they don't hate eachother even though they are divorced, the fact that a marriage was ended outways the fact that two co-stars are now a couple. i just feel like there is no substance to it. there is no intelligence there. it's just a phase. i'll be sad for the people who like micheal and jen together if and when they break up. maybe then you guys will be able to sympathises with the rest of us who were sad to see jen and scott break up. maybe then you'll understand where we were comeing from. it wasen't so much anger or takeing it personally as it was just dissapointment. because when a couple like them divorce it makes you lose faith in love. |

Scott Foley is now dating Sarah Wynter who was/is on
24'. She confirmed it in a recent interview. So he's not exactly nursing a broken heart is he? He's moved on, and Jennifer Garner's moved on and she seems happy with Michael Vartan. So that's the end of the story really.
What strikes me as funny is that people seem determined to create a story out of this, where there is none. There's been no mud-slinging by either Garner or Foley, no public airing of dirty laundry. They've gone about their business and that's that. Why do people feel the need to blame someone and pass judgement on a situtation they're not involved in? |

Garner and Vartan have been smitten with each other from the get-go. Scott Foley never stood a chance once these two met. And this might be a bit controversial but I think there's definitely more to their relationship than lust. It would have been easy as pie for Jennifer Garner to have an affair while still married and gotten Michael Vartan "out of her system" so to speak. But instead she got a divorce, she says two things to me: 1. her marriage wasn't going great guns to begin with (that guy was always complaining about her famous she was anyway) and 2. she and Vartan are serious about each other. I've seen them together and they look blissfully happy with each other. So I say, good luck to them. |

Alright, i've read everyone's comments and here's what I think.
I was a big fan of Felicity while it was on and Scott and Jennifer were pretty cute together. They both seem like really likeable, down-to-earth people and it was nice to see a couple that weren't as fame hungry as the usual Hollwood ilk are. But on the flip side, I'm also a fan of Alias, since the day it first aired. It's a great, great show. And part of what makes it so good is the awesome chemistry between Jennifer and Michael. As cute as Scott and Jennifer were together, Michael and Jennifer are dynamite. They look at each other and you can just *feel* the heat between them.
Now, I'm not saying it was real, maybe they are just darned good at their jobs but I was not surprised to hear Jennnifer and Michael are now dating in real life. Some people have asked why Jen didn't give up her job to save her marriage, and I think the answer is obvious. If the marriage was worth saving, she might have done so. But then again, why should she? Why didn't Scott give up his job so that he could be with his wife? I've heard it may have been the case that Scott couldn't deal with Jennifer being more famous than him, nor could he handle the fact that she was kissing goodlooking men on screen. I remember aninterview of his where he was less than supportive about Jennifer's work and I remember thinking, 'gee, lighten up dude, you're wife's done good!'
I think Jennifer and Scott really did love each other but somtimes it just doesn't work out, despite best intentions. I've seen pictures of Michael and Jennifer together and she seems really happy, as does he. They've always had softs spots for each other, they always talked about each other in interviews and they apparently get on like a house on fire. If that's turned into a romance, then I'm pleased for them. Everyone deserves happiness in their lives. |

i was reading what you wrote beth and i remebered an article on eonline about a similar situation in a hollywood relationship that i thought you might want to read. i found it intresting and very sweet. unfortunatley they didn't reveal the actors names. but here it is. sorry it's so long! it a husband answering ?s about his wife.
Q:how do you and your wife manage to find time to spend with eachother? you hear so many relationships being torn apart by busy scheduals and demanding hours. how do you keep loyal to your carrier demans and still find time to neuture your marriage?
A: it's tough. it's not easy, but we make it work. it's so unfortunate to hear about all thease marriages ending for reasons that envolve their carriers. communication is lost in most of those marriages. and if you don't have communication, then you don't have anything. and i think that my wife anf i both relize that. so we talk as much as we can and do as much stuff together as we can. we make dinner together and walk our dogs together and go to the gym together. but it's hard to fined time to ourselves when both of us are doing different things all the time. but we have both relized and learned to except that this might be how it's going to continue for the rest of our lives. and i empathize with the couples who have lost a relationship, like marriage to their busy scheduals and no offence to them but i can't imagine giveing up the the person i have devoted my life to, to my job. if it ever came down to the point that we absolutley never saw echother, i would quite my job in a heart beat and she would qite her job in a heartbeat. i'm her biggest fan and her biggest supporot and she's y biggest fan and my biggest support. but it's just a job. she is my life. there are other jobs out there but there is only one her. i am so inlove with my wife. she means the world to me and i can not imagine my life without her. she's my oxcegen. i'm head over heels for her. and no job and no carrier and no schedual could ever change that. |

Alias is the best thing on t/v in my opinion and it's had steady and consistent ratings this year. Don't know where you're getting your info anzley but the show is doing well. Jennnifer and Michael's personal relationship hasn't changed a thing on the show, and if people get turned off by watching them play two characters that were already involved before they were, well then that's desperately sad and entirely their problem. I've actually seen Jen and Michael together and they looked really happy together and very much in love. I say good on them and everyone else should just let them get on with it. |

i don't really have a problem either way but the only thing that scares me is i read this article that was talking about micheal and jen hooking up and how the show alias is loosing so much fan support becuase people just get pissed off seeing them together like what anne said about how t was sketchy how syd and vaughn hooked up on the show and then three mounths later she got divorced and then now theyre dateing. and now people are thinking maybe she wasen't such a faithful wife and it just pisses them off to see the two together.and so fans have just stoped watching all together. the artical showed the ratings from the two previous years and tthen the significant drop on this years permire. i personally don't really mind michal and jen being together but if the show is canclled becuase of their personal lives getiing into the shows success i'll just cry. alias is my favorite. start watching you guys!

Life doesn't always turn out the way we intend it too and we can't help who we fall in love with. Was there an affair while Jen was still married? Who knows? Oh please Anne, you're just another one of those people who love to throw stones at others and criticise when the fact remains that no one is perfect. You have no idea why Jen and Scott divorced so how can you start to question her morals and principles? That's just silly and ridiculous. I respect Jen for doing what she did; she was unhappy in her marriage and she thad he guts to get up and leave, instead of remaining unhappy for longer than was necessary.
