your right the slider looks like a curveball but its a slider because i went to the field with my friend he said it had a nice break to the left. |

I used to pitch in pee wee leagues when I was 8 and 9 I quit and i havent been back. This year my friend tryed out for the team and got on with ease, he was a pitcher like me and he threw hard and fast. I couldnt keep up with him and he rubbed it in my face. I talked to my brother in law and he taught me how to throw a perfect changeup. It was awesome. I became interested in pitching again and he told me that his dad taught him how to pitch a screwball, curveball, knuckleball, 2 seam, 4 seam, and a changeup. He showed me and it was amazing he could be a pro. (shoulder injury) But anyways i went to Don, and he taught me how to throw a screwball and a knuckleball, that is hard. I looked up online about everypitch I could. I found this site and its exactly how Don taught me how to throw. Im glad that other teenagers have the oppurtunity to learn how to throw pitches other than fastballs and curves. After reading this page and the arm strength and conditioning page, I have pitched 12 no hitters, and my fastball has leveled out at 73 mph. Its not all about speed but about control. Im lucky I have both and am very thankful for all this sites help. Thank you.

i think you should let the people know that your not supposed to throw some of the pitches until they are fully grown and their arms can handle the stress of throwing certain pitches, so they don't mess up their arms. |

anybody who is 12 years old shouldn't be throwing a curve ball! you should be more concerned about a change-up and location than a pitch that will ruin your life! i've seen kids blow their arms out pitching that crap. wait until your 16 or a little older, or you'll be sorry. |
