| annie | Can I use sterlized cream (which has lke half da fat of double cream) to substitute double cream in the recipe for makin ice cream? | 5/17/2012 |
| M in Illinois | Upon reading the substitute for heavy cream by using the 3/4 cup of milk and 1/3 cup of unsalted butter, it did not say melted butter. Should you melt the butter first, then add to the milk. I am trying to make Tutto Mare and only need one cup of heavy cream but we are in a blizzard so there is no getting out. I have skim milk, salted butter and flour. Think I can still do it? Thanks. | 2/1/2011 |
