Patricia Ross Typecasting usually works both ways although we rarely address the outcome of both positive benefits and negative impact of each, an exercise which requires much greater brain power and effort than accepting one side or the other. Objectivity is among the most highly elevated of mankind's ability that no animals share, and that form the basis of mankind's positive position in the universe as the Biblical keeper of positive direction, a self check upon detrimental outcomes. Ideally, all forums would have a prescribed set of rules to follow to insure that positive outcome but most don't, and require self assessment and evaluation to produce the benefits of that recurring and usually hidden aspiration. Through that process comes inspiration as well as hope and faith, much more so than by following a prescription unless that prescription is at its base the Christian or other religious principles that have served mankind since they were developed as the balanced guide by which mankind can best serve itself. Whether that prescription is well defined depends upon the degree to which all are included, and whether it is interpreted to avoid the imbalance of reactions to fear, force, and seduction. Mankind has a difficult time measuring up to the principles espoused as those ideal to producing desirable and predictable outcomes, and often fails as a result of that reality. 10/5/2004
