Russia's veterans battle to bring back glorious name of Stalingrad

It was the scene of the greatest battle of the Second World War, where the Nazi war machine began to crumble and at least two million men lost their lives.

Diana I thought perhaps you might be able to help me. I am compiling information regarding the Great Patriotic War, and I would like to conduct interviews with war veterans that might be willing to speak with me? I am gathering as much information as I can from veterans in every country that participated in World War II for a book that I am hoping to have completed by 2009. I will be visiting my son, who attends school in Moscow, from 17th December until 25th December. If I could arrange interviews while I am there, I would be most appreciative. I have been searching various web sites, but, unfortunately, there seems to be little contact information regarding war veterans or organizations located in Moscow or, GPW veterans that might still be active members? Would you know of any war veterans that live in Moscow? I have been attempting for three weeks to find anyone, anywhere, that might be kind enough to assist me with arranging a few interviews.

Thank you for your time.

Kind regards,
Diana
