Pathological narcissism is the result of individual upbringing and, in this sense, it is universal and cuts across time and space. Yet, the very process of socialization and education is heavily constrained by the prevailing culture and influenced by it. Thus, culture, mores, history, myths, ethos, and even government policy (such as the "one child policy" in China) do create the conditions for pathologies of the personality.

Deborah k I have always felt that America's racism was a symptom of deep pathological narcissism and psychological disturbance on part of Euro-America, that the unrealistic fear that griped this country,was a paranoia beyond measure.
this paranoia is a pervasive illness of this society, that was and still is easily manipulated.
