| J. Crosby | Okay here it is when fact is stranger that fiction. I am allergic to mint. Spearmint and peppermint being the worst offenders. Essential oils are nearly deadly to me. Lavendar comes in a close third. Besides causing the breathing troubles and asthmatic episodes, the scent of Lavendar will cause Migraines. All of them make me sneeze and wheeze. I have had to receive ER treatment twice due to this allergy, and yet people laugh and don't take it seriously. When I see the add for Listerine Melts, I about have a hissy! If someone did that to me on a plane, I very well could die! If I go to a restaurant and state that I have a seafood allergy, they are very helpful and accomodating, If I go into a restaurant and state that I have an allergy to mint and herbs, I am met with a range of reactions from disbelief to disrespect and oft receiving disparaging remarks.
