Nick Interesting but a lot of outdated or simply wrong ideas. Japanese companies don't serve alcohol to workers after 6 pm but some allow workers to buy and drink beer as they are no longer paying them for working (and there are no customers visiting) so relax the rules. Less than 40% of men now smoke, which is still high, but nowhere near 60% of the entire population.
