Bev My dog suffers from allergies. We have eliminated food as the culprit. His allergies are the worst in August (we are in Illinois) and he usually goes on steroids. I know steroids are not good for him and would like to find a natural remedy. 8/28/2010
Sherry My only question about this article is the recommendation to use soapy water. My vet tells me that soap will remove any topical flea treatment that has been applied even if you wait the recommended amount of time before bathing. 12/11/2009
Concered I was giving my dog a over the counter joint medication, because she is eleven years of and she developed purple spots all over her skin. I of course discontinued giving her the medication, now she is moving a little slow. I gave her some cod liver oil, baking soda, chicken broth and she responsed positively. Now she is back to moving slow. What can I do to improve her health, short of an expensive vet trip. I am out of work and can not afford a trip to the vet right now. They want the complete payment at the time of service, but I do not want to jepardize her health, I just can not afford spending hundreds of dollars right now. I have not been keeping up with my own doctors visits due to the cost. 9/17/2009
