| brad | under your fun facts it states that the sun will 'explode'. But the sun is too small to supernova (explode). It will enlarge to a red giant, swallow earth, then the suns core will ultimatley 'blow off' its gas layers producing a white dwarf, about the size of a few 'Earths'. The 'dead' white dwarf will then cool for billions of years and finally create a black dwarf. | 3/24/2011 |

| DBM | "Moon is the only non-Earth object upon which a man has walked" That is not true. The Hoba meteorite measures approx 10ft by 10 ft and thousands of people have walked on it since it was discovered in 1920, | 11/12/2010 |
| DBM | Lightning is only hotter than the Suns surface. It is not nearly as hot as either the corona or the core | 11/12/2010 |
| DBM | I know that it is the common teaching, but technically the Earth doesn't orbit around the Sun. They orbit around a common gravitional barycenter. | 11/12/2010 |

| Anoop Saxena | Hi, Please do revisit your facts. They are mostly not correct. I did not read beyond "Fun Facts About The Sun" because most of the facts about Sun are either incomplete or not true. Regards, Anoop |

| Philip. | Is it not frightening to think that if in 5 billion years time - the sun explodes - the human race will be no more? We can't just say, "Oh but there might be technology to get to another star" etc because, although it MIGHT be conceivable to think this, we can't guarantee it. To me personally, this was not a "fun fact". It actually ruined my night. Thank-you. Thank-you very much. Email me at heavens_to_murgatroidd at hotmaildotco dotuk to respond and ease my pain. Thanks. | 5/28/2010 |
