If a person who has commited serious crimes is released into society and proves he is not deserving of that change by [for example] commiting the same crimes again then I see no reason why capital punishment would be undeserving of such an individual.		 12/15/2011

James Woodruff I have often grapled with the moral implications of capitol punishment; as a good baptist 40 years ago killing a bad person was right but Jeaus taught us to be forgiving of those who trangressed against us. Today I believe with all the wrongfully incarcerated individuals in prison, that only the people who are poor and not able to afford a proper Lawyer or are just the bottom of the social economic ladder will be killed by the system. Every one feels for the victim and their family but what does one really recieve from the death of another. When it was found out that a person was executed, and to find out he was innocent and slow thinking. It brings chills to my bones it could be anyone wrongfully accused and killed for a crime they didn't commit; if the man wants a scape goat to make the public feel secure it could be you. Brooke Hogan Like the article says criminals that have raped, abused, or even murdered someone prove to be more violent. Would you honestly want someone who is okay with these acts to live? Just imagine how many people those criminals hurt. These awful people should not be allowed to live in prison. Adriana D. I th ink to some level the right amount of resulted consequences are apprpriate, at least in order to keep the world under some kind of order. But in retrospect, the fact that some countries and/or states that turn automatically to the death penalty or capital penalty is irresponsible and not right at all.
I used to live in a place where all the time you had to watch your back because brutal crimes were going on wherever you would turn. the hard part though is the fact that if you dont have enough money to defend yourself, (which is the way things are looked at these days *money to save and/or satisfy*) youre automatically put in the spotlight for the death penalty. 16 year old What does it solve? killing someone because they murdered someones family? If you ask me that doesn't make any since at all you killing a killer just makes you a killer your self. Sam I'm pro - capital punishment but only for the extremely horrible crimes. Say someone has kidnapped, raped, tortured more than 10 individuals.. In these cases, these serial killers should be executed.

Alex i think capital punishment is a good thing if we are 100% posative about who did the crime. I only think it should be allowed if the person being prosicuted is a murderer. I dont think anyone should die for anything but what they did. They killed someone so i dont think they shoud live. So im all for it to a current point. 1/20/2010

PRODEATHPENALTY i am very much pro-death penalty. and not just for cases that involve murder. i believe that any person who murders, rapes, or otherwise tramazes the physical or mental being of a person due to a crime committed against them, then they should be given the death penalty. and not just a sentence of life imprisionment. i certainly will not have any of my tax money going to the prisions to help give these murderers and such alive and well with meals, cells, healthcare, dentalcare, and a place to be. no. they know what is right and what is wrong. yes, people know. they should be killed. not just left to sit around living off of our taxes. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
