the punishment should fit the crime. so if one kills he/she has no right to life because in my opinion he has lost his human rights and therefore should be put to death. one who has been put to death cannot commit this crime once again; and this sends out a warning to the young offenders out there, it will deter others from committing the same kinds of crimes. if one knows what one is doing wrong by committing this murder/rape than one should be put to death. we are wasting our tax money on people who will do the same wrong again where as our money could go to something important like helping children or the elderly. the murderer must be punished for what he has done, if he has taken a life than his life should be taken to revenge or console the family of the victim. it is also a way to protect society against criminals and if one is put to teh death penalty than we know that he/she will not do it again and we as a society feel safe against the criminal. |

i think capital punishment is a good thing if we are 100% posative about who did the crime. I only think it should be allowed if the person being prosicuted is a murderer. I dont think anyone should die for anything but what they did. They killed someone so i dont think they shoud live. So im all for it to a current point. |

i am very much pro-death penalty. and not just for cases that involve murder. i believe that any person who murders, rapes, or otherwise tramazes the physical or mental being of a person due to a crime committed against them, then they should be given the death penalty. and not just a sentence of life imprisionment. i certainly will not have any of my tax money going to the prisions to help give these murderers and such alive and well with meals, cells, healthcare, dentalcare, and a place to be. no. they know what is right and what is wrong. yes, people know. they should be killed. not just left to sit around living off of our taxes. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

are you people for real? put yourself in some of these families shoes- what if your little 5yr old daughter was kidnapped- right out of the front yard- & was raped and then murdered... you still believe that these ppl don't deserve the death penalty? an innocent little girl is raped and murdered & you believe that the most they deserve is life without parole bc killing someone is immoral? i'm sure that they were thinking that in the back of their mind while hurting these kids, they just wanted to get thier "off", the one thing that TURNS THESE PEOPLE ON, SICK SICK PEOPLE... they may not even get life without parole- they could b eligible for parole and reenter the community and start murdering little innocent children again. obviously your not gonna get death penalty for a minor crime-common sense- but seriously ppl! think! anyone who murders a child deserves to be punished! |

I think the death penalty should be used only if really needed. People who kill innocent people, should receive life in jail, not only a few years. Serial Killers should receive the death penalty, definitely. I believe an eye for an eye. If Someone tortures someone else, they should be tortured the same. If someone rapes another, they should have the same done. But no one in their right mind is going to want to do that. |
