maie I just got my back of the neck tattoo today and I was very surprised - it wasn't painful at all. There was only one point when I felt that it actually hurt. I was trying not to laugh most of the time, because I really felt like laughing, but didn't want to move much. I think it depends on a person totally, because mine wasn't painful at all. 8/26/2009
Meg Tattoos on the back of the neck are not pain full, and u can have u hair cut short if u are getting a tattoo in the first place u want people to see it! i have a tattoo both on my neck and between my shoulder blades either one hurt, and i love having my hair cut short to show them off 6/24/2009
