Lex Theravada Buddhism, specific variations Hindu religious practices and belief structures, Islamic Sufism, as well as Shinto, Sikhism, and even Jainism all exist in numbers of followers and communities equal to or surpassing Judaism 3/22/2010
Lex How is Judaism part of the 5 major religions in the world with 13-20 million Jews out of almost 7 billion people? It is a foundational religion to Islam and Christianity, but so is Zoroastrianism. Buddhism is the normally assumed 4th/5th World Religion, and to make a list like this, is to intentionally leave religions off, or to include specific religions for an implication of legitimacy. 3/22/2010
Gus "[Religion] has always served as a source of inspiration for the creation of the different cultures found around the world."
I think you got that the wrong way around. Cultures exist before Religion, then when that Culture has something it can't explain they collectively agree that their Religion did it.
