Lynn Stuckey, 34, from Urbana, appeared on the show last month to discuss her practice.

I am officially grossed out, and even more grossed out by comments by other saying that it's OK to breast feed an 8 year old. Does his mother plan to stop before he gets married? That poor kid is going to need lots of therapy. |

Having a video of it & showing it outside home seems insane. I would not oppose breastfeeding as such. |

Since we are the only animals in the world that wear clothing, and there are many people who practice nudity what is the big deal? It seems that some humans think that the body is only sexual, and not natural. |

What right does the government have interfearing with any family's views, and practices, relating to breast feeding. The government is over stepping it's boundaries, and is getting way out of control. If the son and mother are comfortable with it and find it benifecial then so be it. Next they will be putting cameras into the homes and keeping an eye on all our actions. Are they going to set out guide lines, and rules on all things in the future, that we deem so personal now? |

As a strong supporter of extended breastfeeding I honestly believe that if the 8 year old is not ready to be weaned; I honestly believe that the mother has every right to let her 8 year old son continue breastfeeding for as long as he feels the need to do so; however, I would tell the mother not to breastfeed her 8 year old in public she just might get rude stares from people If her 8 year old demands to be nursed in public I would tell the 8 year old that he/ she can wait to nurse at home and if the 8 year old continues to ask why he or she cannot breastfeed in public; I would just say to the mother... go ahead and breastfeed your 8 year old son or daughter in public ( but please make sure their head is covered while he or she is nursing!) I also agree with opal's comment ; The longer a child is breastfed the less likely they are to become sick; After all, the mother is only giving her 8 year old the most nutritious milk in the world... her breast milk!!. |

I think if the mother and the child are not ready to stop breastfeeding then they should not have to stop. I am sure she is not do any harm to the child by doind what a mother was made to do. Infact it is only increseing the childs health . Makeing him less lieable to geting sick as a nomal children who I are not breastfeed will. |

I am from New Zealand and we here alot over here about how hostile and unaccepting America is of breastfeeding, and this proves it. I think it disgraceful that Courts can have the right to tell parents how to raise their children. I'll bet any money that her little boy grows up better adjusted than most bottle fed babies. |

I think that is sick to let an 8 yr old still on ur breast. The child will not understand when he/she gets older. I think it is great for moms who breastfeed their child up to the age of 1 then they should stop. I mean u have to go to school and let ur child take ur breast? That is like child abuse and telling them it is okay to do so in public. Glad the babysitter turned her in. The mother should do communities services and on probation but not in jail. |

I think that the 8 year old boy was too old to be breastfed. She should have been ordered to stop and the order enforced, but I don't think she should have been prosecuted unless she continued to defy the order of the court |
