The racing world lost one of its "favorite sons" on Sunday, February 18, 2001, when NASCAR's Dale Earnhardt was killed in a last-lap accident at the Daytona 500.

Jinkies Dale Earnhardt was my al-time favorite NASCAR driver and racing is the only sport that I watched. I was devestated when he died and I couldn't find out what had happened to him. II found this website a year ago and it helped me find out about the tragedy. THANKS! 11/23/2004
