| Sue | My sons 16, left school this year. Hes always been hard work but ok to manage. Since hes left school he thinks he can do what he wants, comes in when he wants. Weve tried to ground him from going out for 3 days ( other then collage or part time work) and he takes no notice and out he goes. That didnt work so my husband, My sons Dad took away his xbox controls and in return he started harding our things ie tv control, cameras. ipods ect. His Dad said right you have 10 minutes to put everything back or your in more trouble. After 10 minutes my husband went upstaires and said right i want the things back now. My son replied haha make me. His laungage is bad as well. We dont use it. Also we dont want our 9 year old picking it up. Any ideas what we can do as we are out of ideas. Hes got no respect at all. We have tried talking to him but it isn't working. | 11/30/2011 |
| Sara | "Helping troubled teens overcome their many problems is a major responsibility that lies solely with parents" I have to disagree with this. At a certain point, it becomes the teen's responsiblity. When you've given all you can, have been as understanding as possible, and the kid is still acting out, it becomes his responsibility to, well, man up and stop acting like a toddler. |

| strugglingteens | Parent is first and effective told to help troubled teens. The troubled teens also like to get attention and proper care from parents. The boarding school is another greatest option for troubled teens because the school offers teens residential treatment programs in which the teens can get homely environment treatment programs. | 12/22/2008 |
